Every and Horschel Named First-Team PING All-Americans

University of Florida senior Matt Every (Daytona Beach, Fla.) and freshman Billy Horschel (Grant, Fla.) were named PING First-Team All-Americans by the Golf Coaches Association of America following the NCAA Championship on Saturday. Horschel was also named to the All-Freshman team.
Every joins former Gators Gary Koch, David Jackson, Dudley Hart and Camilo Villegas as the only golfers in school history to earn first-team All-American honors all four years of their collegiate careers. Every earned nine top-10 finishes this season, including a win in the season-opener at the Inverness Invitational. He also became the first Gator golfer to win the prestigious Ben Hogan Award as the nation's top amateur golfer.
Horschel emerged as a key ingredient for the Gators success in 2005-06. He earned started in all 13 tournaments and won his first individual medal at the NCAA West Regional in Tucson, Ariz. Horschel also finished in the top-10 at the SEC Championship and NCAA Championship.
Florida completed the 2005-06 season by finishing second at the NCAA Championship in Sunriver, Ore.
