Gator Growl 2006: Relive the Tradition
Thursday, September 21, 2006 | Football
Today, students, alumni and members of the community continue to come together to express their Gator spirit at a show filled with tributes to the University of Florida's athletes, history and unique culture. This amazing night of festivities unites the entire community to honor our shared traditions. The theme of this year's pep rally, “Relive the Tradition,” is an opportunity to recognize and revitalize the Gator spirit during the 100th year of Gator football.
Gators of all ages can look forward to appearances by the UF athletic teams; performances by the UF Cheerleaders, Dazzlers and Marching Band; the crowning of the 2006 Homecoming Queen and a dazzling fireworks display. The world's largest student-run pep rally will also feature performances from family-friendly comedians Jim Gaffigan and Gabriel Iglesias.
Gator Growl will be held “rain or shine” October 6 at 7 p.m. in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Students may purchase their tickets through the UBO, which is located at the J. Wayne Reitz Union. Student tickets cost $12, may be purchased with cash only and require a Gator 1 card. The general public may purchase tickets through the UBO or Ticketmaster for $19, plus a service charge.
We invite you and your family to attend the 83rd annual Gator Growl pep rally and join the entire Gator Nation as we "Relive the Tradition"!
