UF Men's Tennis Concludes Play at Southern Intercollegiate

University of Florida men's tennis junior Billy Mulligan (Miami) and sophomore Dan Cash (Oslo, Norway) advanced to the final round of the Division II doubles draw at the Southern Intercollegiate in Athens, Ga., Monday before seeing their run come to a close.
The UF tandem picked up a pair of wins on the day to secure their spot in the finals against East Tennessee State's Lisandro Picardo and Daniel Isaza who had defeated Florida freshmen Erik Corace (Naples) and Tyler Hochwalt (Scottsdale, Ariz.) in the other semifinal match, 8-6.
Mulligan and Cash started with an 8-6 win over Mickael Boyer and Joe Nicolazzi from the College of Charleston in the quarterfinals before using the same margin to defeat Charleston Southern's Guy David and Grega Teraz.
In the final match, Mulligan and Cash fell just short to Picardo and Isaza, 9-7.
Florida will continue its fall season at the ITA All-American, which will be held in Tulsa, Okla. The event runs Sept. 29 through Oct. 7.
