Men's Tennis Ends Run at ITA Southeast Regional

UF's Tyler Hochwalt picked up a victory in the round of 32 by edging LSU's Julien Gauthier (7-5, 7-6 (1). Hochwalt pushed Georgia's 12th-ranked Nate Schnugg, but fell short in trying to advance to the quarterfinals (6-7 (4), 6-2, 7-5).
The four-day event is one of several regionals taking place around the country. The singles and doubles winners of the ITA Southeast Regional as well as the singles finalist receive an automatic berth into the ITA National Indoor in Charlottesville, Va., Nov. 6-9.
Florida returns to action at the FSU Invitational, which begins Oct. 30 in Tallahassee, Fla.
