Former UF Offensive Lineman Max Starks Participating In NFL Business Management Program

Former University of Florida offensive lineman and current Pittsburgh Steeler Max Starks is one of 114 NFL players participating in the NFL Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program, the league office announced this week.
Starks has enrolled in the program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he will be focus on developing and selling a brand and evaluating franchise opportunities.
The program is part of an ongoing NFL-NFLPA initiative to assist players in preparing for their post-playing careers. Players have the opportunity to enroll at either the Harvard Business Coach, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, the Stanford Graduate School of Business or the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Player enrollment criteria include level of education; professional business experience; interest in starting, owning or managing a business; and leadership and community involvement.
Starks, who lettered for the Gators from 2000-03, was a first-team All-SEC selection by the league's coaches in 2003, and he earned honorable mention All-SEC recognition in 2002. During his career, Starks played in 43 games and started three consecutive years at three different positions – right tackle in 2001, left tackle in 2002 and right guard/left tackle in 2003.
Starks, who earned his bachelor's of arts degree in sociology in 2005, was the second round selection of the Steelers in the 2004 NFL Draft.
