UF Freshman Jessica Yadloczky Named To American Team For U.S.-Japan Matches

University of Florida freshman golfer Jessica Yadloczky (Casselberry, Fla.) has been selected to play for Team USA at the 2008 Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Championship, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Monday.
The 33rd annual competition will be held July 16-18 at the Tokyo Golf Club. Yadloczky was one of four women collegiate players to make the prestigious squad. The 12-member Team USA also consists of eight men collegiate players.
Auburn's Cydney Clanton, UCLA's Sydnee Michaels and Southern Cal's Lizette Salas are the three other female players. They will joined by Nick Bova of Methodist, Sam Cyr of Point Loma Nazarene, Kevin O'Connell of North Carolina, Pepperdine's Andrew Putnam, Wichita State's Ryan Spears, Zack Sucher of UAB, Valdosta State's Brent Witcher, Chris Wolfe of Armstrong Atlantic State. The team will be coached by Mike Morrow of Kent State and Barry's Jimmy Stobs.
Yadloczky is a 2008 First-Team All-Southeastern Conference selection and a member of the SEC All-Freshman Team. In her first season, Yadloczky has recorded six top-10 finishes and over the weekend helped lead fourth-ranked Florida to the 2008 NCAA East Regional title with a share of 10th place. She is ranked the 15th player in the nation according to Golfweek's Individual Ratings Index.
Yadloczky and the Lady Gators compete at the NCAA Championships, May 20-23, at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
