Nine UF Football Players Participate In Spring Commencement

Nine current and former members of the University of Florida football team are participating in spring commencement ceremonies, this Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4, according to college assignment.
Seven of those nine players were members of the 2007 team and members of the 2006 Southeastern Conference Championship and BCS national champion squad, including defensive back Telly Concepcion, defensive lineman Javier Estopinan, punter Alex Harrell, safety Kyle Jackson, offensive lineman Drew Miller, half back Eric Rutledge and defensive lineman Vernon Shelton. Estopinan will enroll in graduate school as a fifth-year senior this coming season.
A total of 59 players have now graduated during head coach Urban Meyer's tenure at Florida from 2005-07.
Ran Cathon, running back for the Gators from 2000-03, will receive his degree in sociology. Carthon rushed for 1,353 career yards on 270 carries with 11 touchdowns. Former offensive defensive lineman Mo Mitchell, who played for the Gators from 2001-04, will be graduating in Family, Youth and Community Sciences. Mitchell was a 2004 First-Team All-SEC selection at offensive guard.
