W-Tennis Doubles Team Ends Run at NCAA Championships

The University of Florida women's tennis pair of Megan Alexander (Dallas, Texas) and Marrit Boonstra (Netherlands) dropped their opening round match at the NCAA Doubles Championships on Thursday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Gator tandem, seeded No. 5-8 in the 32-team draw, lost to 33rd-ranked Fresno State's Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova, 6-3, 6-4, capping the final event of the 2007-08 season. Alexander and Boonstra posted a 15-4 record in their debut season as a team, having played the No. 1 dual match spot throughout the year.
