M. Tennis - Cueto Advances To Semifinals At SEC Indoors

Freshman Carlos Gonzalez de Cueto (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Coaches' Indoor Championship on Sunday in Lexington, Ky. Cueto came back from one set down to defeat the No. 9 seed Bram ten Berge of Ole Miss, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Cueto will face the tournament's top-seeded player Michael Venus of LSU on Monday at 10 a.m. The winner will advance to the finals to take on either J.P. Smith (Tennessee) or Devin Britton (Ole Miss).
In addition to Cueto, sophomores Jeff Dadamo (Tampa, Fla.) and Johnny Hamui (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) will face each other in the final match of the singles consolation draw. Dadamo downed Otto Sauer (Ole Miss), 6-3, 5-7, 10-6. Hamui defeated Georgia's Alex Hill in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
