The University of Florida men's tennis team kicks off a full week of action on Friday consisting of the Seminole Invitational hosted by Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., followed by the ITA All-American Championships beginning Monday in Tulsa, Okla.
The Gators will send a partial squad to compete at the three-day Seminole Invitational, with junior No.117 Johnny Hamui (Wesley Chapel), senior Daniel Cash (Oslo, Norway), junior Erik Corace (Naples) and freshman William Federhofer (North Miami) expected to compete for the Orange and Blue.
Following that, Monday begins the ITA All-American Championships, one of the collegiate level's Grand Slam events. The tournament will be held in Tulsa, Okla., with pre-qualifying happening Oct. 3-4.
UF players take the court once qualifying rounds begin, with Hamui and senior No. 107 Antoine Benneteau (Boulogne-Billancourt, France) slated for action. Junior No. 23 Alexandre Lacroix (Paris France) will participate in the main draw, which begins play on Thursday, Oct. 8. Lacroix blasted through the competition at last weekend's season-opening Gator Invitational, going 3-0 in both singles play and doubles action with Benneteau.
