M-Tennis Doubles Pair Falls, Lacroix Wins Singles Consolation

Florida's Alexandre Lacroix (Paris, France) and Antoine Benneteau (Boulogne-Billancourt, France) lost their doubles quarterfinal match at the ITA National Indoor Championships, hosted by Yale University at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven, Conn., on Friday.
The pair suffered their first defeat of the season after winning nine in a row to open the fall, dropping an 8-6 result against Tennessee's Boris Koncic and Rhyne Williams.
In singles consolation action, No. 23 Lacroix won in a three-set showdown with Patricio Alvarado of Southern Miss, the 67th-rated player in the nation, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Lacroix ran his record to 11-3 this season, including 6-3 against ranked foes. Lacroix will continue play through the consolation bracket.
