Lacroix Wins Two, Advances to Consolation Final at National Indoors

Florida junior Alexandre Lacroix (Paris, France) posted a pair of singles wins on Saturday at the ITA National Indoor Championships, hosted by Yale University at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven, Conn.
He advances to the consolation final, where he will face No. 46 Ed Corrie of Texas at noon on Sunday.
In the consolation quarterfinals, the 23rd-ranked Lacroix downed No. 30 Austin Krajicek of Texas A&M in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. He then dispatched Georgia's No. 38 Javier Garrapiz in the consolation semifinal round, 6-2, 6-1.
With his two wins Saturday, Lacroix ran his fall 2009 record to 13-3, including 8-3 against ranked opponents.
Corrie downed Baylor's No. 27 Jordan Rux in straight sets to advance to the consolation final.
