Lacroix Finishes Sweep of Consolation Bracket at National Indoor Championships

Florida junior Alexandre Lacroix (Paris, France), the No. 23 player in the nation, won the singles consolation final at the ITA National Indoor Championships, hosted by Yale University at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven, Conn., on Sunday, defeating No. 46 Ed Corrie of Texas in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
The victory wrapped up a run of four straight wins by Lacroix to sweep through the consolation bracket after dropping his first-round match at the event. All four of those wins came against ranked opponents, allowing Lacroix to finish the fall season with a 14-3 mark, including 9-3 against ranked opponents.
The Gators' fall season is now complete, and the team will next be in action at SEC Indoors in Atlanta on Jan. 15-18.
