ITA Indoor Consolation (Ole Miss)
No. 7 M-Tennis Falls to No. 9 Ole Miss, 4-1, In Final Match At ITA Indoors

The No. 7 University of Florida men's tennis team fell, 4-1, to Southeastern Conference foe and ninth-ranked Ole Miss, 4-1, in their final match at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at the Midtown Tennis Club on Sunday afternoon.
For the first time this season, the Gators dropped the doubles point and began the match with a 1-0 deficit. Sophomore Jeff Dadamo (Tampa, Fla.) and junior Daniel Cash (Oslo, Norway) were defeated 8-2 on court two by Devin Britton and Otto Sauer. Earlier this year, Antoine Benneteau (Boulogne-Billancourt,France) and Joey Burkhardt (St. Augustine, Fla.) defeated the top-ranked doubles team in the nation, Devin Britton and Otto Sauer, at the SEC Indoors, but were not as fortunate in Chicago. The pair lost a close match, 8-6, as the Rebels claimed the doubles point.
Ole Miss continued its success on the singles court, as only one Gator collected a win. From court four, No. 63 Burkhardt defeated Christoph Thiemann in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. The freshman currently owns a 17-8 season record and is 6-4 in the spring.
The Gators will host two in-state rivals this weekend as they take on University of South Florida on Friday at 3 and the University of Miami on Sunday at 1. Admission is free and live scoring can be found at www.GatorZone.com.
