Gray Horn Travels to Texas Relays

Freshman Florida multi-event athlete Gray Horn (Wapakoneta, Ohio) will participate in his first decathlon of the 2009 outdoor season this week when he travels to Austin, Texas, to participate in the 82nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
The decathlon begins at 1 p.m. EST Wednesday and continues Thursday at 11 a.m. Live results will be available at http://www.texassports.com/sports/tex-relays.
Horn had a stellar indoor season that was capped off by tying the school record for a first-day heptathlon score at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships. Horn finished second in the heptathlon at the SEC Indoor Championships with a score of 5,586 points, coming just shy of the school's freshman school record of 5,652 points. He recorded five personal bests out of the seven heptathlon events at the league championships.
As a prep, Horn was the 2008 Nike Indoor Pentathlon Champion, after a runner-up finish the year before.
