Yadloczky, Jensen Earn SEC Women's Golf Honors

Sophomore Jessica Yadloczky (Casselberry, Fla.) was named to the All-Southeastern Conference first-team for the second-straight year and freshman Evan Jensen (Belleair, Fla.) was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team, announced Thursday by the conference office. It marked the third year in a row that the Lady Gators had a player earn first-team honors.
Yadloczky led the Gators all season, recording six top-10 finishes, including a sixth-place finish at the SEC Championship last weekend in Columbia, S.C. Her best finish came at the UCF Challenge in March, shooting seven-under par 209 to finish in second place. She shot an opening-round 66 (-6), the lowest of her collegiate career and the lowest by any Lady Gator this season.
Jensen has enjoyed a stellar freshman campaign, playing in all 10 tournaments for Florida and finishing in the top-25 nine times. In her first-ever collegiate tournament, she led the Lady Gators with a five-over score of 221 at the prestigious NCAA Fall Preview and finished in a tie for 17th. Her best finish of the season came at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, where she tied for 12th.
The Lady Gators will continue post-season play at the NCAA Regionals. The University of Florida is one of three hosts for the event, joining Arizona State University and Ohio State University. NCAA Regionals are May 7-9. Live scoring can be found online at www.GatorZone.com and www.GolfStat.com.
