No. 16 Women's Tennis Loses at No. 15 Arkansas

The 16th-ranked University of Florida women's tennis team fell to No. 15 Arkansas on Sunday, 4-0, at Dills Indoor Tennis Center in Fayetteville, Ark. The loss dropped the Gators to 10-8 overall, and 4-4 in conference play.
Arkansas (10-6, 5-3) grabbed an early lead after clinching the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Play was halted on court one after the point was clinched.
The Razorbacks earned wins at No. 4 and No. 6 singles to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Junior Marrit Boonstra, who opened the dual match season with 15 straight wins, suffered her second loss in a row, falling to fifth-ranked Aurelija Miseviciute 6-2, 6-4.
Freshmen Jo Mather and Barbara Pinterova each won the first set of their matches, but play was stopped after the match was decided on court one.
Florida will return home for the final three matches of the regular season, facing Alabama on Friday at 3 p.m. and taking on Auburn next Sunday at 1 p.m.
