Help Welcome Back the 2009 Gator Softball Team

The University Athletic Association invites all Gator Fans to Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. to welcome back the 2009 Gator Softball team from their appearance in the 2009 Women's College World Series.
Fans are encouraged to come join the mascots and members of the pep band as we welcome home our champions. Select players and head coach Tim Walton will be interviewed on stage by Jeff Cardozo.
The Gator Softball team had a 63-5 record this season and set 39 school records during their first-ever run to the WCWS Championship Series. Florida ended the season with a .323 batting average, a .543 slugging percentage and .423 on-base percentage, all bests in UF history.
Three Gators recorded eight single-season records, including runs (69, Aja Paculba), home runs (18, Francesca Enea) and slugging percentage (.713, Kelsey Bruder). The senior class of Le-Net Franklin, Ali Gardiner, Kristina Hilberth, Danyell Hines, Brooke Johnson, Stacey Nelson and Kim Waleszonia set 17 individual career records in their four years.
