University of Florida rising freshman Azania Stewart (Wood Green, England) and Great Britain fell to Team USA, in the second game of Group A play, 93-59, at the World University Games Thursday at Belgrade Arena.
Stewart started the game and played 20 minutes, grabbing five rebounds and scoring three points, as she hit 1-of-3 shots from the floor and 1-of-2 from the free throw. USA jumped out to a 27-7 lead after the first quarter of play and never looked back en route to handing GB (1-1) its first loss in Group A play. Stewart and her teammates return to the court on Friday to play France in the final game of Group play, advancing to the winner's bracket with a victory.
