Head Coach Roland Thornqvist Previews Pair of Weekend Events

University of Florida head coach Roland Thornqvist met with the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Thornqvist talked about both events members of the team will be participating in this weekend that will conclude the fall season.
Florida will have strong representation at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, which will be held Nov. 4-7 at the USTA-Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
Alex Cercone, Olivia Janowicz, Sofie Oyen and Allie Will will travel to New York to compete for an individual national title, while the remainder of the team will remain in Gainesville and play host to the annual Gator Fall Classic, which will be held Nov. 5-7.
Coach also discussed and fielded questions about having no seniors for leadership, on the freshmen playing in New York, on Allie Will sharing advice to the younger players, on Alex Cercone's success and on the improvements of the three freshmen.
