Lacroix Advances At USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships

Florida senior Alexandre Lacroix (Paris, France) posted a straight-sets win in first-round action at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Flushing, N.Y., on Thursday, defeating host school Columbia's Haig Schneiderman, 6-2, 6-3.
Lacroix advances into the Round of 16 with the victory, where he will face third-ranked Bradley Klahn of Stanford, who is seeded No. 4 in this tournament. Lacroix will be attempting to reach his third career quarterfinal in a national tournament, having advanced to that stage in the 2009 and 2010 ITA All-American Championships.
The Round of 16 and the quarterfinals will both be played on Friday.
