
Gladys and Kerr to Receive Degrees this Saturday

A pair of Gator Gymnasts will don their caps and gowns and join the graduating class of 2010 this weekend. Ashley Kerr and Courtney Gladys are among the 33 Florida student-athletes who will be receiving their degrees during this weekend's commencement ceremonies.
Kerr will graduate with her marketing degree and minors in mass communication and leadership. Gladys will graduate with a degree in advertising along with leadership and business administration minors. Kerr will be recognized as one of the 2010 fall Outstanding Female Leaders at Saturday's graduation ceremony.
During their gymnastics careers, Gladys earned an All-America second-team honor for balance beam at the NCAA Championships last April, and Kerr was selected to the Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Community Service team. Both gymnasts were members of the SEC Academic Honor Roll for all four years that they attended UF.
The list of Florida student-athlete graduates also includes 12 football players, six women's swimmers, three soccer players, two men's swim team members, two women's basketball players, and one student-athlete each from men's basketball, men's tennis, men's track and field, women's track and field, women's golf and volleyball.
