Foley says Muschamp is working hard to assemble coaching staff as recruiting dead period nears end

This is officially Urban Week. Next week opens the Will Era – as in new Gators football coach Will Muschamp.
As Urban Meyer prepares to coach his final game with the Gators in Saturday's Outback Bowl against Penn State, Will Muschamp is laying low and working to put together his initial coaching staff at Florida.
Muschamp has attended some UF practices since being introduced as Meyer's successor on Dec. 14, but he has purposely stayed away from the spotlight to ensure Meyer gets a proper sendoff.
Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley assured a large contingent of reporters at Wednesday's Outback Bowl Luncheon that Muschamp is keeping busy, adding that Muschamp has been free to hire his own staff.
Foley said he expects Muschamp to have a majority of his staff in place by Tuesday, when the dead period for recruiting ends and the pace picks up heading toward National Signing Day on Feb. 2.
“He's certainly respectful of the fact that this is Urban's last deal," Foley said. “He's not going to be in the forefront. We probably talk every day. He's, trust me, rocking and rolling hard putting a staff together.
“Every time I talk to him, I know he's chomping at the bit to get to Gainesville and get going recruiting and get this thing rolling. We've got to hit the ground recruiting. I'm not going to say the whole staff will be in place by [Tuesday], but we've got to have coaches on the road, and we will have some coaches on the road.”
Muschamp is planning to attend Saturday's game. Once the game ends, Foley said Muschamp's staff should fall into place very quickly.
“I know people are wondering why we haven't announced this or announced that,'' Foley said. “It's because that's part of the plan. You wait until football seasons are over, individual teams are done playing and then you can start figuring out what are the final pieces of this puzzle.”
