Head Coach Tim Walton Addressed the Media on Monday

University of Florida head coach Tim Walton addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.

Coach Walton provided his assessment of last weekend's play, when the Gators went 5-0 to win the Lipton Invitational title. The Gators, who have won their last eight games in a row, set a new school record on Saturday with six home runs in the 7-0 victory against Campbell.

UF has the week off as it will host Northwestern State this weekend, Feb. 27-28, in a three-game series beginning with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.

Coach Walton also discussed and fielded questions about the number of games the team played last weekend, the young pitchers, the leadership of pitcher Stephanie Brombacher and on the freshmen class.
