Saturday, March 27, 2010 | Men's Tennis
The sixth-ranked Florida men's tennis team (12-2, 4-0 SEC) hits the road to take on No. 14 Ole Miss (13-2, 4-1 SEC) at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center in Oxford, Miss., on Sunday at 2 p.m. Eastern.
Florida comes into the meeting with a seven-match winning streak, though its past two matches have been rained out and will remain unfinished.
"We feel good about how we played against Florida State and Mississippi State, so we'll go into Ole Miss with some momentum," said head coach Andy Jackson. "Our guys have been very focused in practice this week."
Alexandre Lacroix (Paris, France), ranked No. 6 nationally, has posted an 11-2 mark at the first singles position. He and Antoine Benneteau (Boulogne-Billancourt, France) stand 10th in the doubles rankings, also with an 11-2 mark at first singles.
Nassim Slilam (Paris, France), in his first season with the Gators, has posted 11 consecutive wins headed into Sunday's match.
