First Annual Florida Letterman Awards Held Monday

The first-annual Florida Letterman Awards were held on Monday, April 12 at the Phillips Center in front of a crowd full of University of Florida student-athletes, coaches and University Athletics Association administration and staff. Student-athletes from all sports were honored for their accomplishments on and off the field. Former UF football player James Bates served as the ceremony emcee.
The FLA's were organized by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and its Executive Board. The nominees for each award were selected by a representative from each team. The voting for the winners was done by the SAAC Executive Board, voting committee representatives, senior administrators and The Office of Student Life academic advisors.
