Former Florida Gator Greg Ouellette, a five-time All-American for the men's tennis program from 2005-08, picked up his first career professional singles tournament win in the USA recently, taking the USTA Peoria Futures event in Peoria, Ill., on July 18.
Ouellette posted four consecutive straight-sets victories to reach the final of the clay court tournament, where he defeated Daniel Yoo of South Korea, 7-5, 1-6, 6-3.
Earlier in the month of July, Ouellette broke into the top 400 of the ATP World Rankings in singles for the first time in his career.
Ouellette earned 110 career singles wins at UF, the fourth-highest total in program history, and was a first-team All-SEC performer in all four of his seasons in the Orange and Blue.
