Florida's Men's Golf Team Named to GCAA All-Academic Team
Tuesday, August 17, 2010 | Men's Golf
The Florida men's golf team has been named to the Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team for the 2009-10 college golf season, as announced by the GCAA on Tuesday.
The Gator golfers are among 113 teams that posted GPAs of 3.00 or higher and earned All-Academic Team recognition. The award comes after six Gators were named to the 2010 SEC spring academic honor roll.
“I am really proud of the guys,” said Head Coach Buddy Alexander. “This proves that they work just as hard in the classroom as they do on the golf course.”
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the grade points earned and hours attempted for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
