Gators move up, down in polls

The running joke inside the press box at Neyland Stadium late Saturday was that if the Gators continue to win ugly, they would probably drop completely out of the polls with a victory over Alabama in a couple of weeks.
Florida opened the season ranked fourth in the AP Top 25, but after a 34-12 win over Miami (Ohio) to open the season, the Gators dropped to eighth.
And then last week, Florida dropped two more spots in the AP poll following a 38-14 win over USF. Florida has held its ground in the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll a little better, ranked No. 7 prior to Saturday's 31-17 win in Knoxville.
So where are they in the latest polls?
The Gators snapped the trend and moved up a spot to No. 9 in the latest AP poll, released earlier today. Florida is one of eight teams to move up in this week's poll. Click here to check out the complete rankings.
As for the USA Today poll, the Gators dropped a spot to No. 8. Click here for the complete poll.
