Gators junior safety Will Hill has officially filed his paperwork with the NFL to declare for the 2011 draft.
Hill played in 11 games last season, recording 54 tackles and two interceptions. His biggest play came in overtime of UF's 34-31 win over Georgia when he returned an interception 89 yards.
Florida later won on Chas Henry's 37-yard field goal.
Hill's departure means new Gators head coach Will Muschamp will not get an opportunity to work with him in his first season.
“Although I didn't have a chance to coach Will Hill, we certainly wish him the best of luck in the NFL,'' Muschamp said. “Like all of our players, we hope he understands the value of his education and returns to get his degree.”
