Federhofer and Slilam Advance to Doubles Quarterfinal of USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Champions

The Florida doubles' team of Billy Federhofer (North Miami, Fla.) and Nassim Slilam (Paris, France) advanced to the quarterfinals on Thursday of the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by Columbia University at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. The duo will face the tournament's top-seeded pair of Kevin King and Juan Spir from Georgia Tech on Friday.
In the opening round, the Florida tandem fell behind Phil Anderson and Jadon Phillips from New Mexico, 4-3, but reeled off five-straight games to clinch the match, 8-4. In the Round of 16, the Gators took down Chris Aumueller and Benedikt Lindheim from Nebraska, 8-6, to advance to the quarterfinal round.
Doubles action will continue on Friday with the quarterfinals. Semifinals will be held Saturday and the final will be played on Sunday.
