Federhofer and Slilam Fall in Semifinals of USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships

The Florida doubles' team of Billy Federhofer (North Miami, Fla.) and Nassim Slilam (Paris, France) ended their run at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Saturday, losing in the semifinals to Tulsa's Clifford Marsland and Ashley Watling, the tournament's No. 3 seed.
In the semifinal round, the matches were played in a best-of-three format. The Gator duo dropped the first set of the match, 6-3. In the second set, both teams held serve until the score was even at 5-5, but Tulsa was able to earn a break and pull out the win, 6-3, 7-5.
Federhofer and Slilam saw their 8-match win streak come to an end. Florida will return to action Nov. 11-13 in its final fall event, the Lakewood Ranch Invitational.
