Monday, December 12, 2011 | Track and Field
Florida's women's sprint medley relay team, composed of Darshay Davis (Miami, Fla.), Danielle Williams (Jacksonville, Fla.), Ebony Eutsey (Miami, Fla.) and Cory McGee (Pass Christian, Miss.), will be honored at the Accusplit Breakfast at the USTFCCCA Convention on Tuesday in San Antonio, Texas.
This is the 30th anniversary of the Accusplit Breakfast and will honor the nation's best collegiate relay teams and their coaches in Division I, and for the first time NCAA Divisions II and III. This year marks the first in which the ceremony will take place at the USTFCCCA Convention. Previously, the awards ceremony has taken place at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Davis, Williams, Eutsey and McGee teamed up to place first in the 2011 Pepsi Florida Relays, capturing the title with a time of 3:45.46, coming in just shy of the school record of 3:43.11 (1991: K. Mitchell, Howard, Downing, Beasley). McGee was named the SEC Women's Freshman of the Week for her performances in the 2011 Pepsi Florida Relays.
