Kelly Murphy and Kristy Jaeckel formed one of the best 1-2 combos in the country for the Gators volleyball team the past four years.
Their UF careers ended on Dec. 10 when the Gators fell to Illinois in the Elite Eight. However, their time as teammates will continue.

Murphy and Jaeckel have signed to play professionally for the Guaynabo Mets of the Superior Volleyball League in Puerto Rico.
Both players earned All-American honors as seniors. Guaynabo's season opens Jan. 18 and lasts through late spring.
Based on reports out of Puerto Rico, Guaynabo is adding several top-flight players to make a push up the standings.
One of Murphy and Jaeckel's new teammates will be China's Yu Yin Zhang, the first Asian player to sign with the Guaynabo.
The team is coached by Brazilian Mauro Grosso. Murphy and Jaeckel aren't the first UF players to sign with a team in the SVL.
Callie Rivers played for Ponce last spring after her final season with the Gators.
