King comes to Gainesville after spending two seasons with Long Beach State.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida volleyball has signed opposite hitter Logan King to the 2026 roster, head coach Ryan Theis announced Tuesday afternoon.
King, a 6-foot-2 transfer who was named a 2025 First Team All-Big West and Big West All-Freshman honoree out of Long Beach State, will join the Gators as a redshirt sophomore after appearing and starting in all 31 matches for The Beach.
"Logan is a proven scorer and the only attacker that we reached out to in the portal," Theis said. "We are thrilled to add her the Gators family. The Gators are comin'!"
During the 2025 campaign, King was the offensive leader for LBSU, recording a team-best in kills (411), kills-per-set (3.61), points (476.5) and points-per-set (4.18). She recorded a season-best 21 kills against California State University – Northridge on Oct. 25, where she also finished with a hitting percentage of .581 which sits just outside the top-five in the LBSU record book for a single game effort with more than 30 attacks. King also recorded 21 kills against Cal Poly on Oct. 4, while finishing with a season-best 24.5 points.
The Newmarket, Ontario native is no stranger to the international stage, as she was recently selected to the Canada women's national team for the Volleyball Nations League. In 2025, she was chosen as 1-of-12 players to the Volleyball Canada Women's U21 National Team. She competed with Canada at the U21 NORCECA Pan Am Cup in Costa Rica where she was named the best opposite hitter en route to her squad advancing to the bronze medal match.
King is the eighth newcomer to join the Gators for the 2026 campaign, joining freshman opposite/outside hitter Nadi'ya Shelby and six transfers: outside hitters Kamryn Chaney and Selena Leban, middle blockers Brooklyn Briscoe and Brianna Holladay and setters Bri Denney and Olivia Klimis.
Why King Chose the University of Florida
"Florida felt like the perfect fit because of its tradition of excellence and championship culture. Being part of a program with such a strong history of success means I'll be pushed, challenged and developed every day alongside elite athletes and coaches."
