Coach Roland Thornqvist Previews NCAA First Round

University of Florida women's tennis head coach Roland Thornqvist met with the media on Monday and previewed the opening round of the NCAA Championships which gets underway on Sat., May 14 at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex.
The Gators (25-1) are the No. 2 overall seed in the 64-team draw and play host to South Carolina State (16-2) beginning at Noon, ET.
The other first-round match played in Gainesville features Arizona (15-6) against South Carolina (13-10) at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The second-round match will be held on Sun., May 15 at 1 p.m. in Gainesville.
Coach Thornqvist fielded questions and talked about what it will take for his team to advance, as well as on sophomore standouts Lauren Embree (Marco Island, Fla.) and Allie Will (Boca Raton, Fla.).
