The SEC spring meetings are taking place in Destin this week. Here are a few links from those meetings plus more from around the UF sports world:
--Alabama head coach Nick Saban said one of the mistakes of his coaching career was not naming Gators first-year coach Will Muschamp defensive coordinator with the Dolphins in 2005. Muschamp left after the season to take over Auburn's defense. Click here for a story from the Gainesville Sun.

--Gators basketball coach Billy Donovan is also in Destin this week for the SEC spring meetings. He discusses the issue of a potential new format for the SEC Tournament in this notebook from the Palm Beach Post.
--Muschamp addressed his reasoning behind allowing freshman RB Mike Blakely to transfer to SEC rival Auburn after only a few months on campus, an uncommon move in the conference's history. Click here to read a story from the Montgomery Advertiser.
--The Florida baseball team opens the NCAA Tournament in the same place it opened the regular season – No. 1 in Baseball America's national poll. The Gators moved back to No. 1 after winning the SEC Tournament on Sunday.
