On May 24, 2011, the University of Florida women's tennis team defeated top-seeded Stanford, 4-3, and captured the 2011 NCAA Team Championship.
The Gator's thrilling run through six matches en route to the program's fifth national title was capped by sophomore Lauren Embree's epic 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (6) singles win that also snapped Stanford's NCAA-record 184-home match winning streak.
