Gators to remember longtime press box assistant Joe Hudson with moment of silence

There will be a moment of silence in the press box during today's Gators-UAB game for Joe Hudson, a man who spent a lot of time in the press box at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium over the years.
Hudson, 88, passed away on Sept. 1. Click here to read his obituary in the Gainesville Sun.
Prior to becoming a regular at UF football games for 40 years as an assistant in the press box, Hudson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
A UF graduate, Hudson later became an educator and served as principal at Gainesville High School during his long career in education.
Hudson is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Hudson.
