Gators Open 2011-12 Season with Successful First Day at Gator Invitational

The University of Florida men's tennis team opened the 2011-12 season in convincing fashion on Friday, posting a 3-0 record in doubles action and winning all six singles matches at the 2011 Gator Invitational at the Ring Tennis Complex.
“I thought that we've been training a lot and really need to play some matches,” said head coach Andy Jackson. “It looked like we played ok, which is good. The level of play is going to go up tomorrow. Overall, a pretty good first day.”
Complete results from today's action are posted below. Play will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. and on Sunday at 10 a.m. Admission is free.
