Patric Young and Will Yeguete Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll

University of Florida men's basketball sophomores Patric Young (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Will Yeguete (Bordeaux, France) have been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, the Conference announced today. The Gators have had 59 selections to the Academic Honor Roll since its inception in 1997, nine more than the next closest SEC institution.
Young, a telecommunications major who became the third Gator to be named the SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year this past season, averaged 10.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in his sophomore campaign.
Yeguete, a political science major, saw action in 26 games, making 10 starts, before breaking his left foot vs. Auburn. Prior to the injury, Yeguete was averaging 4.4 points and 6.3 rebounds in his sophomore campaign.
The Gators finished the 2011-12 season with a 26-11 overall record and appeared in the school's second-consecutive Elite Eight.
