Haugh Staying Home at Florida for Senior Season
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 | Men's Basketball
Florida men's basketball All-America forward Thomas Haugh will return to UF for his senior season, he announced on Tuesday.
Haugh is the third starter from the Gators' 2025-26 SEC championship team to announce his return for the 2026-27 season along with Alex Condon and Boogie Fland, while Rueben Chinyelu is maintaining his eligibility throughout the NBA Draft process.
Haugh becomes the fourth player in program history to return to UF after making an All-America team, an elite list that consists of Haugh, Joakim Noah, Udonis Haslem and Neal Walk. (Five others have returned after earning AP All-America honorable mention.)
The New Oxford, Pa., native has averaged 10.1 points and 5.3 rebounds throughout his three seasons at Florida, seeing his scoring average jump each season, from 3.9 as a freshman to 9.8 as a sophomore and 17.1 as a junior. Haugh has been a key part of the Gators' run of success to the 2025 NCAA and SEC Tournament championships and the 2026 SEC regular season championship.
Haugh earned second-team All-America honors from The Sporting News and NABC and third-team honors from the AP and USBWA last season, joining Walter Clayton Jr. (2025) as the only Gators to earn All-America honors from all four major selectors. Haugh also earned first-team All-SEC recognition and was a finalist for the Julius Erving Award.
Haugh, who came to Florida as a three-star prospect ranked outside the top 100 in 2023, currently stands in the top 50 in Florida history with 1,111 career points.
