No. 9 Florida men's tennis wins at Arkansas, 7-0

The ninth-ranked Florida men's tennis team traveled to Arkansas and picked up their fourth-straight Southeastern Conference win on Friday, beating the Razorbacks, 7-0. The Gators improved to 13-7 overall and 6-3 in league play, while Arkansas fell to 14-10 (1-8 SEC).
Florida began by winning on all three doubles courts to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The 10th-ranked pair of Billy Federhofer and Nassim Slilam won 8-3 over No. 48 Hall Fess and Matt Walters at the top position. Spencer Newman and Bob van Overbeek then secured the doubles victory with an 8-3 win over Manfred Jeske and Michael Nott at No. 2 doubles. Andrew Butz and Tripper Carleton completed the doubles sweep for UF with an 8-5 win over Mike Ward and Nikolas Zogaj.
In singles, Michael Alford and van Overbeek extended UF's lead to 3-0 in the match. Alford beat Ward, 6-1, 6-1, on court five, while van Overbeek took down Zogaj, 6-3, 6-1, at the top position. Slilam then clinched the victory with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Gregoire Lehmann at No. 2 singles.
Following in their teammates' footsteps, Carleton and Butz also won their singles matches in straight sets. Carleton defeated Walters, 7-6 (5), 6-1, at No. 3 singles and Butz beat Fess, 7-5, 6-4, on court six. Federhofer completed the shutout by winning a third-set super-tiebreak over Jeske, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7), at No. 4 singles.
The Gators will travel to Baton Rouge, La., for their next match, taking on LSU on Sunday at 2 p.m. Live scoring can be found online through LSU's website.
