
Isabelle Lendl Wins Women's Eastern Amateur Championship

University of Florida rising senior golfer Isabelle Lendl (Goshen, Conn.) has captured the 2012 Women's Eastern Amateur Championship. The event, which has been contested since 1906, took place from Tuesday, June 12 - Thursday, June 14 at the Country Club of York in York, Pa.
Lendl, who also won the event in 2009 when it was contested at Stony Creek at Wintergreen in Virginia, fired rounds of 70-74-70 to take the title by four strokes over University of Virginia's Brittany Altomare.
Lendl is coming off a solid junior campaign which included a career-low and school recording tying round of 66 in the final round of the 2012 NCAA Championship.
