Women's Tennis Sweeps Titles at Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic

UF senior Olivia Janowicz (Palm Bay, Fla.) won the singles title and the Gator pair of freshman Kourtney Keegan (Roswell, Ga.) and sophomore Brianna Morgan (Beverly Hills, Calif.) claimed the doubles championship at the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic at the Athletic Center of Lakewood Ranch in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., on Sunday.
With an all-Gator semifinals, Florida was assured to come away with the singles title, it was just a matter of which Gator would hoist the trophy. Janowicz outlasted Morgan in a tough 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 final and captured her second singles title of the fall.
On the doubles court, the young Gator tandem of Keegan and Morgan posted a dominating 8-1 victory against Memphis' Stesanie Mikesz and Anki Wind.
The was the final event of the Fall season.
Florida next turns its attention to the dual match portion of its schedule and plays host to Louisville on Sat., January 25 at 10 a.m. in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Classic which serves as the first two rounds of the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
