Twenty-two UF Student-Athletes to Participate in Fall Commencement

Fall graduation ceremonies take place on the University of Florida campus this weekend, with women's tennis' Caroline Hitimana among the 22 current and former Gator student-athletes participating in commencement events. UF's fall commencement ceremonies take place Saturday, Dec. 14.
Hitimana played on the Gators' 2011 and 2012 NCAA Tennis Championship teams, as well as four Southeastern Conference regular-season and tournament title squads.
Among the graduates are five who were part of a Gator national championship team. Corrine Showalter was a member of Florida's 2010 NCAA Swimming & Diving team. Ashan?e Dickerson and Dali Lemezan both were part of the squad that claimed Florida's first NCAA gymnastics title in 2013
Among the Gator graduates is Mike Peterson, a 14-year NFL veteran and a part of Florida's first national title football team in 1996. Josh Walker, who won the NCAA 110-meter hurdles title in 2004 and 2005, also graduates this Saturday.
Ten of the graduates appeared on an All-Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll during their careers.
