
Florida Divers Conclude Second Night of NCAA Zone Diving Championships

The Florida divers had four make the finals on the second night of the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships. The Gator men dove on the three-meter board while the women competed on the one-meter.
The women started the day off with the one-meter board. Freshman Kahlia Warner (Queensland, Australia) made her second final in as many events as she finished eighth overall. She scored a 285.35 in the prelims and a 286.05 in the final for a combined score of 571.40.
Freshman Delaney Dye (Tallahassee, Fla.) finished 26th with a score of 228.30 and fellow freshman Emily Mosher (Cincinnati, Ohio) had a 207.95 in the prelims.
All three of the Gator men qualified for the three-meter final. Senior Sean Saley (Pompano Beach, Fla.) made his second final in two events of the championships. He finished ninth on the men's three-meter board with an overall score of 660.60. He posted a first round score of 316.35 to qualify in 14th and then a 344.25 in the finals to move up to ninth.
Redshirt junior Christopher Jones (Palm City, Fla.) finished 17th and posted a combined score of 625.35. Jones finished the prelims tied for 18th with a 293.40 and came back to score a 331.95 in the final. Redshirt freshman Zach Hernandez (Johns Creek, Ga.) took 19th after scoring a 606.40 on the day. He posted a 323.60 in the prelims and 282.80 in the final.
Tomorrow will conclude the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships with the platform event. The women's prelims are set to start at 10:30 a.m. and the men's at 3:30 p.m. Gators Warner and Dye will be the only two competing.
