ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Gators face Florida Gulf Coast University tonight at Cowboys Stadium with a berth in Elite Eight on the line.
The winner will face tonight's Kansas-Michigan winner on Sunday for a spot in the Final Four.
Florida advanced to the Sweet 16 with victories over Northwestern State and Minnesota. Meanwhile, the No. 15-seed Eagles upset Georgetown and San Diego State to advance.
While FGCU is the Cinderella story of this year's NCAA Tournament, the Gators have locked in on the Eagles like they would any other opponent.
Florida coach Billy Donovan, 30-10 in the NCAA Tournament, is trying to lead the Gators to a school-record third consecutive trip to the Elite Eight.
"You know, both teams are playing for finality,'' Donovan said Thursday. "All we're focusing on right now is what takes place in between the lines."
