No. 18 Florida Men's Golf Faces Another Tough Day in Round Two at Olympia Fields

The No.18 Florida men's golf team faced another tough day in round-two action at the eighth annual Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational this afternoon. As a team, the Gators improved six strokes from yesterday's total score, shooting 22-over collectively to land in 15th place heading in to the final round.
Junior J.D. Tomlinson shot 6-over (76) today, leading the Gator roster while freshman Victor Tarnstrom improved four strokes from yesterday's total by notching a four-over (74) on the day.
Buddy's Bite: “Our score was better but the course was better too. I think we might have played a little better yesterday. We were off to a decent start today and thought we could get a little something going. I think it's just too much golf course for us right now. We've been playing hard and I think you learn the most about yourself and your team when you play poorly. We've learned a lot about ourselves so far this weekend. Hopefully we can parlay that knowledge to use on the course tomorrow.”
