Gator women's tennis head coach Roland Thornqvist addressed the media Monday at the Florida All Sports Press Conference. Thornqvist discussed the team's success over the weekend and his analysis of the 2014 fall season.
Thornqvist and the Gators capped the 2014 fall season on a high note with excellent performances at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships and the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic. At National Indoors, freshman Josie Kuhlman captured the consolation singles title, and fellow freshman Brooke Austin advanced to the main draw singles semifinals, her second trip to a national semifinal match this fall. At the Dick Vitale event, sophomore doubles tandem Spencer Liang and Stefani Stojic earned the doubles crown. Sophomore Belinda Woolcock came in second place in the singles event.
